Business and Management
This course equips students with a sound knowledge of business processes, managerial skills and leadership potential. Students will use case studies to analyse complex problems, explore the uncertainties involved, evaluate possible solutions and plan their implementation and participate in live web-based chat forums to discuss their work with lecturers and other students.
A second-class honours degree or equivalent professional experience and/or qualifications. English language proficiency at a minimum of IELTS band 6.5 with no component score below 6.0.
Autumn term: Finance and operations management; business environment. Spring term: Corporate strategy. Optional modules: Management and international business; quality management; marketing management; professional selling and sales management; innovation management and entrepreneurship; managing human resources. Summer term research-based options include: Business and strategic management; strategic organisational excellence; critical marketing/sales; innovation and new product development; international human resource management.
