The programme is offered under the auspices of global law at Reading, the home of public international law, EU law and human rights law at Reading.

You will have full access to common student spaces at Foxhill House, library access and internet access.

Subject to university approval, the school intends to introduce in 2018/19 pathways in international law. Students will have the opportunity to be awarded an LLM in International Law or to specialise by choosing a pathway as per below.

All students undertaking an LLM in International Law will be required to study Introduction to International Law and Global Architecture of Crisis, Conflict, and Disaster Management, with the remainder of their credits coming from modules relating to international, global, transnational, or EU law. Depending on their choice of pathway, students will be required to study pathway-specific modules andwrite their dissertation on a related field.

Human Rights Law, Policy, and Practice

**Careers**

A postgraduate law degree will open many doors for you, not only in specialised areas of employment, such as law firms, European and intergovernmental and non-governmental organisations (NGOs), but also in academia (with further postgraduate study), the media (journalism and broadcasting), the civil service, and other branches of public service.

Graduates from our LLM programmes have gone on to work for a range of national and international law firms, as lawyers and as in-house legal counsel for large multinational companies in the UK and abroad, as well as international organisations and NGOs.

Entry requirements

LLM: You are normally required to have a good undergraduate honours degree(or equivalent from a university outside the UK). However, our participants come with a variety of relevant legal and non-legal experience and all applicants are considered on individual merit.

IELTS: 6.5 overall with no element less than 5.5 (or equivalent).

Fees

These course fees cover the cost of your tuition. Some courses will require additional payments for field trips and extra resources. You will also need to budget for your accommodation and living costs.
