Chemistry

This masters is designed for students looking for an MSc qualification combining taught material with a more substantial research project.

The course will help you make the most of your research experience by focusing on material within your specialism.

Although the skills you develop will be useful in many careers, the year-long research project is particularly good preparation for PhD programmes or chemistry-specific careers in research-focused organisations.

Our new small angle x-ray scattering and laser spectroscopy facilities are among the most advanced of their type in the world and are leading to new exciting collaborations.

Entry requirements

You need a BSc (Hons) 2:1 or equivalent in chemistry or a related subject with a large chemistry content.
