Chemical and Process Engineering
The department undertakes research in a range of chemical engineering topics and has strong industrial and academic collaborative links; research opportunities include: Carbon research; membrane technology; fuzzy modelling and process control; industrial water utilisation; high pressure bioprocessing; precision microplant measurement.
Doctor of Philosophy - PhD: You'll need a first or 2:1 UK Honours degree, or overseas equivalent, in a relevant engineering, physical or chemical sciences related discipline from a recognised academic institution.
If English isn't your first language, you'll also need to have a recent UKVI recognised Secure English Language Test (SELT) qualification.
You can study either degree in any of our three research groups: Nanostructured materials; process development and monitoring; multi-scale simulation and theory.
