Economics and Finance
This programme combines expertise and practical know-how from both the School of Economics and Surrey Business School to help you apply advanced core-economic principles to the context of business and corporate finance, while mastering the complexities of the banking and financial systems. The programme structure comprises four core modules and four elective modules, split between the School of Economics and Surrey Business School. This combination provides you with knowledge of microeconomic theory, financial economics and financial econometrics, while also leaving enough room to tailor the programme according to your own particular interests and career aspirations.
Applicants should normally hold a minimum of a Bachelors degree (a UK 2.1) in Economics or in Business, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Physics or Statistics.
Applicants who have a joint degree in Economics and a related discipline, or who have had a wide involvement in the field of their desired specialisation will be considered.
English language requirements: IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall, 6.0 in each component (or equivalent).
