The Guardian UK 300: top property employers

…as voted for by students and graduates

The Guardian UK 300 features the largest and most comprehensive annual survey of student opinion on graduate careers, employers and their own job hunts. The survey determines not only the most popular 300 graduate employers in the UK overall, but also the most popular graduate employers in a range of career sectors, including property.

The top graduate employers for property are listed in the table below. Savills remains the most popular employer for yet another year, but elsewhere there has been some significant changes in the ranks. CBRE joins the top ten this year, taking the ninth position, while Strutt & Parker falls six places to tenth. Grosvenor and Allsop, meanwhile, climb three places each.

Students interested in property careers…

  • were more likely than average to use Facebook for careers purposes, at 39% compared to a 22% average
  • were likely to have entrepreneurial ambitions in the long term: 80% agreed or strongly agreed with the statement ‘I want to start or own my own company’
  • may be tempted away from the property profession: 89% agreed or strongly agreed with the statement ‘I am willing to take a job that is not within my sector of interest’.*

*Statistics have been rounded.

Over 73,500 undergraduates took part in the trendence Graduate Survey, which formed the basis of the results in The Guardian UK 300.
