About Imogen Hobson

Imogen is an employment skills adviser at the University of Lincoln. She supports students 1:1, with queries relating to employment, recruitment practices and skills development. As part of her role, she also organises and delivers workshops and events, both in the higher education curriculum and to students on the university’s employability award. She has 10 years’ experience in the education sector in a range of teaching-related professions, including being a youth team leader and learning support assistant. Before joining the careers service, she gained QTS at Nottingham Trent University and has worked in a variety of primary school settings. Since graduating with a first-class BA (Hons) Education Studies degree from the University of Derby, she has built on her knowledge of current education affairs with a focus on recruitment practice and policy. In her current role, she supports students to navigate the teacher training application process each year. In 2022, she joined the AGCAS Teaching and Related Professions Task Group .
