About the programme

The world of Financial Services Tax is undergoing a fundamental and long-term evolution as tax authorities globally seek to digitise tax regimes. This Summer Internship is for applicants who are interested in and have some experience in AI, Gen AI and large language models, and looking to deploy their skills in a commercial setting.

In AI Tax TT they are introducing new, wide ranging, complex and data-intensive tax regulations to: increase tax transparency, drive more efficient compliance and insight and increase tax revenues to fund governmental initiatives

What will you be doing?

  • Generating large databases from various sources of structured and unstructured data.
  • Analysing tax and financial data and generating statistical information to identify trends and patterns.
  • Understanding the phases of product delivery and expert analyses across product life cycles, running the analysis for each stage and contribution to decision making.
  • Using a range of programming languages to transform big data into data sets.
  • Translating tax technical data to simple language and giving recommendations and conclusions to your manager.
  • Developing interactive dashboards that combine visuals and real-time data.
  • Working alongside tax technical colleagues to understand requirements and refine the data sets.

Are you eligible to apply?

If you’re in your penultimate year at university, or if you’re already in your final year but will be doing a one-year master’s degree or taking a gap year, this internship is for you. We operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone. You will, however, need to be working towards an honour’s degree in one of the following degree subjects: Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, and other STEM degrees, as well as having a minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths and three A-levels/Five Highers (or equivalent).
