Roles / Departments

We currently have roles in our Marketing, Operations, Community, Recruitment, Sales and Event teams - if you are looking to gain more training & experience in these sectors - this is the role for you!

Start date - Looking for candidates to begin in June 2024 - July 2024 for a duration of 9-12months placement.

Placement students only - This opportunity is only available to students who are looking to go on an academic industry placement year.

The placement is a hands-on experience.

  • You will be trusted with tasks, targets & responsibilities
  • You will have exposure to our partners & network of employers
  • You will be our brand ambassadors on GS events & get a chance to connect with our stakeholders
  • You will develop your skills learning from our experienced team and trusted mentors

We will provide the relevant training needed to set you up for success and put you on a coaching and mentoring programme to ensure that you are provided with workplace connections & feedback for future roles.

This is a remote and unpaid position - but comes with real value and purpose driven mission and vision - for change.

Open roles:

Marketing - Production Assistant:

  • Assist in creating marketing contents (graphics, videos, banners, web designs, merchandising, etc)

Marketing - TikTok Account Manager:

  • Create original video content, manage posts and respond to our followers and comments
  • Ensure contents are up to date with the latest TikTok trends

Marketing - Social Media Assistant:

  • Assist in managing our various channels by posting content that is created/supplied, managing comments, answering questions and providing metrics
  • Assist in handling ecommerce on social media / monetising contents
  • Stay up to date with social events/university pages that will benefit our community

Community - Outreach specialist:

  • Create and maintain relationships with universities and student societies in order to post information on upcoming events and job opportunities
  • Assist in leading community outreach and event activities (open to hosting/joining career fairs, social community events, etc)

Recruitment Assistant:

  • Assist in administration of recruitment programmes, job postings, and represent GS on career fairs.

Sales Assistant:

  • Assist and participate in doing market research, developing sales strategies, and identifying potential clients/partners.
  • Assist with drafting sales pitches, presentations, reference material, and other documents as required.

Events Assistant:

  • Assist and work with the events team in setting up GS events
  • Support the events manager with logistical and administrative support

Operations Assistant:

  • Assist in project management, data analysis, generating reports, automation and optimising system to maximise usage

Community Liaison:

  • Assist and participate in onboarding new members (Success Seekers) to our community.
  • Assist with the co-ordination of monthly webinars, events and talks that engage with our community and how to assist them in their early career development using our community platform/app

Future prospects

We see our placement programme as developing our future pipeline of leaders within our organisation. If you perform well while on the placement our aim is to offer you a contract of full-time employment for when you graduate. This is depending on the growth of the organisation and on our ability to take on more headcount.
