Merchandising at NEXT

Merchandising at NEXT is like planning your own wardrobe: you make sure everything is balanced and there's something for every occasion. If you love working with numbers and are enthusiastic about fashion then this is the role for you! You will thrive if you love a challenging, fast paced environment where responsibility comes quickly giving you the chance to make a real difference for our customers.

As a trainee merchandiser, you'll manage stock levels, check orders and shipments, and build relationships with suppliers all over the world. You’ll also use data to influence what NEXT ranges look like, trading and reacting to what our customers are telling us they love. You will work closely with our Buying and Design teams so it’s all about great teamwork and collaboration too.

Once you’re ready to progress, you'll have the opportunity to travel globally and build on those relationships. Merchandising at NEXT is a great opportunity to work in fashion, and you'll get to work on a variety of teams, including Womenswear, Menswear, Childrenswear, and Homeware. You'll also get to work with a portfolio of over 1000 brands in our ever growing brands team!

Our customer is constantly evolving, and it’s our buying team's responsibility to keep them excited about our products. As part of a fast paced team in collaboration with the Designers, Merchandisers and Technologists you will create desirable and profitable product ranges across the business, putting together NEW collections every season.

As a Trainee Buyer you will learn to develop the product and liaise with worldwide suppliers.
