The Graduate Journey

Kloeckner Graduate Journey

Sustainability

At Kloeckner Metals UK we are passionate about our part in building a sustainable future and minimising the impact on our planet.

For us, sustainability is about much more than our impact on the earth’s natural resources. It is also about sustaining human communities and contributing towards sustainable development. We believe sustainability is the conjunction of Social, Environmental and Economic aspects, or to put in another way;

Planet, People & Profit

Planet: As individuals and as an organisation, we can have an effect in reducing our impact on our planet. We can never go back, so as a company we have to balance our needs with a mind on how we affect our stakeholders and our environment.

People: We are committed to being a ‘good neighbour’ and will engage with our local community stakeholders and respond to any complaints or incidents. We recognise that we all have a significant role to play in the communities where we work and live.

Profit: We recognise that our purchasing decisions can affect society and the environment beyond our own operations. In making profit, we also give back to communities around us, our supply chain and those who surround our employees.
