"I think this has massively improved in recent years, particularly compared to the rest of the industry. For example, the four graduates in my team were all girls last year. We just had an inclusion and diversity week and BlackRock stresses the importance of diversity of thought quite a lot."

"The company makes a strong push for inclusion and diversity with a number of employee networks for minority groups. There is also an 'allies' programme so, for example, a male employee can support the Women in Business Network or a non-veteran can support the Veterans' Network etc. It appears that promotion is frequent and retention is excellent. Many employees have been here for 15 years or more."
