BDO’s Midlands Private Wealth team is an exciting and successful area of our business. With taxes being an ever increasingly high profile field, we can offer an exciting and broad range of quality career paths for ambitious people.

The primary responsibility will be to support management/ Partners with tax return compliance and advisory services for a wide range of regional, London and internationally based clients.

You will support and be involved in the continued growth of PCS advisory work generally for high net worth individuals including tax areas such as international (residence, non doms and overseas trust/company structures) private equity, UK property, trusts and owner managed businesses.

The Tax Graduate Programme

The three-year Tax Graduate Programme is your opportunity to learn the business inside out, get hands-on experience on real projects and achieve a recognised professional qualification. We'll cover your fees and give you the training and support you need to balance your work and studies. Training isn’tjust about passing the exams, you’ll learn a range of personal, management and commercial skills that will help you become a fully rounded professional.Through our ‘tax academy’,you’ll engage in partner-led workshops each month to support your development and grow your consulting skills. It’s also a chance for you to learn alongside your national tax trainee cohort and build your professional network.

This role is based in our Birmingham office.

What we’re looking for

We want you to thrive in an environment built to help you succeed. We’re looking for someone with:

  • A 2:2 degree in any discipline (obtained or predicted)
  • Three A-levels or equivalent at A*-C excluding General Studies and Extended Projects (obtained or predicted)
  • 9-4 in Maths and English at GCSE/Scottish Standards or equivalent (non-UK qualifications also considered)
  • Ability and commitment to balance study and professional work
  • Keen desire to understand our business and achieve your full potential
