Working in the HR Department, you’ll play an important role in the ongoing development of Aldi’s people processes. Our aim is to ensure the leaders across the business have access to the tools and materials they need to make every day amazing for our colleagues.

Working predominantly with the Recruitment leadership team, your varied role will give you the opportunity and exposure into the full attraction and selection journey. You’ll also work incredibly close with our Diversity and Inclusion team supporting on a number of exciting projects. From driving strategic changes in processes, to contributing to the execution of national recruitment campaigns, and everything in between, your positive and conscientious attitude will play an important role throughout. With the vast amount of projects and the fast nature of this deadline-driven business, naturally you will need to be efficient, well organised and multi-task minded.

You’ll get the opportunity to spend time with the entire HR function to see how it all comes together and also spend time with colleagues across the wider operation. The HR Department plays a pivotal role in the development of all of Aldi’s people processes; supporting each stage of the employee lifecycle.

Working as part of the Recruitment Team, you’ll play an incredibly important role in various projects and activities to develop, implement and maintain Recruitment systems and processes across Store Operations, Warehouse Operations and Head Office functions.

Supporting the Recruitment Manager, you will work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to scope and roll out key business initiatives. There’s plenty of opportunity to get involved in all aspects of Recruitment including working on projects alongside Marketing, Diversity and Inclusion, Store Operations, and IT teams, as well as providing hands on assistance to recruitment teams across all business areas.

Please note that our Placement Programmes are for university students currently studying towards an undergraduate degree, who are seeking a 12-month sandwich placement before their final year of study.

You’ll need to be working towards a 2:1 degree, have 96 UCAS points from your top 3 A-Levels (or equivalent qualifications), possess a driving licence and have permission to work in the UK by the start of their employment.
