Job Description :

We are looking for graduates to train in both public service and private sector VAT auditing and consultancy all whilst being supported in working towards gaining an ATT (The Association of Tax Technicians) professional qualification.

We will sponsor you in regard to your professional exams, which will include training courses, associated materials and examination fees for first sitting.

Adjacent to the professional qualification we will mentor you through your development as not only do we want you to enjoy your work but to also fulfil your potential. Our graduate programme will guide and support you through the basic understanding of both the core principles of VAT and how these are applicable within the niche industry of healthcare.

Phase One (Year One)

Learn core principles of VAT auditing and all areas of VAT applicable to NHS and build up your skills to become a VAT auditor and to consult with various NHS trusts

Study the basics of VAT via the VAT diploma. In addition you will be provided with regular training from our senior team members according to a pre-defined training schedule.

You will be able to conduct basic purchase and income audits, data collation, detailed capital project reviews and competently liaise with both clients and suppliers

Phase Two (Two- Three Years)

On completion of phase one, you may then be eligible to progress into phase two where you will build on your experiences so far gained and move onto more complex areas of VAT auditing including business activity and partial exemption reviews, more intricate data collation, learn how to undertake and build basic VAT consultancy and overall client management which includes meetings, and key performance responsibilities.

You will then further your professional qualifications by completing the ATT.

Phase Three (Fouth Year )

Within this phase you will continue to build on everything that you have learnt in the programme and will have the opportunity to mentor new starters, become involved in client training, take on more complex VAT consultancy, provide support and assistance in management tasks and continue your professional studies, by achieving the accolade of a Charted Tax Adviser qualification which is the highest level of tax qualification in the UK.

You will be working as part of an experienced, stable and supportive team, made up of all levels from Junior Consultants to senior management with over 25 years’ experience.

Programme duration: 2-4 years

Qualification/s you’ll gain: VAT diploma, ATT

Person Requirement:

The role will require excellent communication skills as there will be direct contact with our clients, quantity surveyors, architects, project managers, accountants and financial directors.

You will also need to be self-motivated, dedicated, organised and hardworking with an excellent knowledge of Excel and Word. You must be able to drive as we are within a lovely rural location, however there is the potential to work from home.
