Registration deadline: 05/11/2024
This insight day is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of our apprenticeship scheme and the role of a commercial solicitor in today's complex commercial environment.

It is not just law at Travers Smith. We treat our clients’ business as our business, their dispute as our dispute, their challenge as ours.

We act for publicly listed and private companies, private equity and financial sponsors, and other business enterprises involved in large and complex UK and cross-border matters, transactions and disputes.

Our clients know that, wherever in the world their ambitions lie, we will work as part of their team to get things done. And they know that we will do so in a straight-talking and open way.

Diversity and independence of thought are key to our success. We know each other well and we know that we get the best results when we act as a team – not just within our individual departments, but right across our firm where we welcome views from everyone.

Solicitor Apprenticeship Insight Day

Making a decision on where to train as a solicitor can be a challenging one, particularly if you are considering several different options. To help candidates gain a more in-depth insight into a solicitor apprenticeship with Travers Smith, we are hosting an insight event in our offices.

This insight day is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of our apprenticeship scheme and the role of a commercial solicitor in today's complex commercial environment.

Throughout the day you will participate in a number of interactive workshops including:

  • An introduction to Travers Smith
  • The role of a Solicitor
  • Fee-earner panel
  • Commercial and business skills workshop
  • Application workshop

Eligibility

To be eligible for this event, you must have completed or be on track to complete your A Levels (or equivalent qualifications) by September 2025.

We require candidates to have a minimum of 7 GCSEs at grade 6 or above, and on track to receive AAB at A Level or equivalent (e.g. BTECs, International Baccalaureate). If you have mitigating circumstances, we may take these into account when shortlisting candidates.

This event is taking place in-person in our London offices, and therefore we can only accept applications for those able to attend in-person on this day. We will provide reimbursement of reasonable travel expenses incurred.

Application Process

Many of our in-person events have a high level of interest for a limited number of spaces, so we are therefore asking to candidates to complete a short application form to explain why they wish to participate in this event, as well as what they would gain from attending.

We are also running a series of shorter virtual events, which have a high capacity. We would therefore encourage you to check out these events as well.
