About Jacky Barrett

Jacky is a content writer and editor, and has been creating careers advice for students, school leavers and graduates for more than 20 years.

Over this time she has specialised in graduate areas of work such as consulting, accountancy, marketing and teaching, and collaborates closely with employers to help them attract the graduates most suited to them.

She applied to targetjobs originally enticed by the idea of using language and words to help make the graduate job search easier and less scary for students… and is still here, keenly observing changing trends in recruitment.

She is a mother to two teenagers and a 21-year-old, currently navigating GCSEs, A levels and university life. They’re kind enough to allow her to give them careers advice – occasionally they listen.

Outside of work, Jacky’s a published photographer and loves creative writing.
