About Rachael Milsom

Rachael is a content writer and editor – and has been providing information and support for university students and graduates since 2015. She studied English at Loughborough University, where, alongside writing her own essays, she discovered a knack for proofreading and editing her housemates’ coursework. She thought ‘Why not get paid to do this?’ and looked into careers in editorial, starting with a work shadowing day at targetjobs. The rest is history. After graduating, she was contacted by the targetjobs editors and invited to apply for a full-time trainee editor position.

Since then, she has developed her knowledge of all sorts of career sectors – from science and engineering through to law and retail – and has worked all over the targetjobs platform, whether that’s creating Pathways (targetjobs’ e-learning courses), hosting webinars or providing editorial support for the Undergraduate of the Year Awards.

Outside of work, Rachael can usually be found in the gym, walking her Dalmatian or escaping the UK for her next bucket-list trip.

Rachael was a member of the targetjobs editorial team from 2015-2024.
