Management accounting

For management accounting, CIMA’s Chartered Global Management Accountant® (CGMA®) designation is the most relevant finance qualification for a business career and is recognised internationally. Those four letters speak volumes about your skills and know-how and can boost your earning potential, too: CIMA students earn an average of £32,000, rising to £66,000 once qualified.

How can I qualify?

Anyone can study with CIMA to become a CGMA designation holder, whatever their degree discipline. But if you have a related degree in accounting, finance or management, you might be eligible for exemptions . You could bypass some exams and get CGMA status faster than you think.

How do I get started?

The easiest way to obtain the CGMA designation is through the flexible, fast-track, digital pathway, the CGMA Finance Leadership Program (CGMA FLP) . With this program, you can:

• Pursue a finance qualification alongside your regular studies or after graduating.
• Qualify in three exams instead of 16.
• Study anytime, anywhere.
• Get practical scenario-based learning.
• Gain skills certificates to showcase your accomplishments.

At CIMA, we work with employers like Accenture, Amazon, Deloitte, Rolls-Royce and many more. Once you start your graduate role, your employer may provide you with financial support and study leave to achieve your CGMA designation.
