"The pay is good. Trainees are eligible for bonuses but I don’t think have received one so far. There are also some perks if they work long hours."
First year trainee, London
"Our base salary is one of the best in the market and the benefits are good too."
First year trainee, London
"City solicitor salaries are somewhat out of control. However, I'm in no way complaining with my US law firm salary."
Second year trainee, London
"Pay at Cooley is very competitive. Trainees are eligible for the bonus scheme."

2015

"Not only is the firm friendly and without a negative after-hours culture, but the pay is brilliant. First year trainees are paid £41,000 and second year trainees receive £45,000 annually. The NQ salary is £75,000 before bonus, but the bonus depends on hitting target hours and your contribution to the firm. That said, the London office is yet to have target hours implemented."
Second year trainee, London
"The firm's remuneration system is great. The trainee salary is very competitive and the sponsored gym membership is a big plus."

"The pay is competitive for the market."
