CGI was founded in 1976 by 26-year-old entrepreneurs Serge Godin and André Imbeau. The two started the company in the basement of Serge’s home with one client, one phone and a lot of ambition. By the end of their first year, CGI had generated C$138,000 in revenue. From that point on, CGI grew consistently year after year, whereby now C$138,000 of revenue is generated every few minutes by our dedicated global workforce. CGI now has over 69,000 employees working in 40 countries and is the 5th largest IT services company in the world.
In an organisation that places collaboration and innovation at the heart of success, people are paramount. That’s why we’ve invested so heavily in our graduate programme; we want to create the future leaders of CGI.
Graduates here have a range of skills and work in a variety of roles. Some of these roles are highly technical; others are more business focused. We want you to find this programme both rigorous and challenging. But once it’s complete, you’ll be able to shape the future of our clients and your career.
Our graduates move into roles as diverse as Space and Defence to Bid Management, Cyber-Security to Project Management. The best thing about joining us is that while you may start in one of these areas, the opportunity to move internally is huge, so you can take control of your career from day 1. Our graduates have worked on top-secret national security projects, they have sent satellites to Mars, helped win multi-million pound projects and ensured that all our projects are planned and executed to the standards our clients have come to expect.
We have offices across the UK in locations including; Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Bridgend, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, Gloucester, Reading, Leatherhead and London.
