This is an 18-month rotational programme, split between three distinct Fund Accounting teams. The successful hire will have the opportunity to work across multiple teams in a highly automated and volume–driven environment.

Marshall Wace runs over 120 funds with an aggregate AUM of around $65billion. The focus of the Fund Accounting team is on utilising exception-based shareholder flows, pricing, and NAV processes to produce accurate daily valuations. This individual will have exposure to all aspects of fund accounting over the rotation programme.

This position will start 8th September 2025.

About the programme

Within this role the successful candidate will have the opportunity to acquire knowledge of fund structures and a breadth of financial markets and instruments, to develop technical skills through internal and external training, and exposure to SQL, PowerBI, AI, Microsoft Office, and other software packages.

Through the collaborative approach adopted by Marshall Wace the successful candidate will also gain insight into the workings of the Investment, Risk, Corporate Accounting, Client Servicing, Legal and Compliance, Operations, and Treasury teams.

You will join other graduates from the wider business on our Early Talent Training programme. This is a bespoke training programme arranged to help our new joiners get accustomed to life at Marshall Wace.

What you'll do

The Fund Accounting team operate in a high-volume, automated environment with a focus on exceptions and controls. We are dedicated to continuous process improvement, delivering value add and efficiency.

Your duties and responsibilities may include:

  • Reconciling all fund-related transactions and positions for accuracy and compliance
  • Calculating the fund’s Net Asset Value (NAV) daily for distribution to shareholders
  • Determining fair value for complex financial instruments
  • Communicating financial information to investors as needed
  • Utilising SQL, Python and other technology for improving processes and enhancing controls
  • Thinking creatively and collegiately to build and optimise work flows
