Graduate Sales Trainee

Expocet Ltd is based in Wolverhampton and is a small Export Sales Company representing several manufacturers: specifically within the Castings and Forgings Industry.

Our focus is very much on Export to Europe and so a European Foreign Language ability is important to us.

Expocet Ltd has a successful 28-year track record in winning business from overseas companies for our client base. We account for an annual T/O for our customer base of around £20M.

Extensive on-the-job training will be provided at various sites to equip the candidate with the needed skills for the role.

The role will entail Market Research, establishing new contact with overseas manufacturing companies and their Purchasing Departments and will eventually require regular travel overseas mainly within Europe but also possibly to India and China.

The successful applicant will be expected to work relatively independently under the guidance of and reporting to the Senior BDM/Director, once initial training has completed and become a crucial member of our small team.

We are looking for a bright and cheerful candidate with a good level of language ability in either French (preferable), German, Spanish or Italian. Excellent interpersonal skills are a must for this crucial role.

A basic understanding of Mechanical Engineering as well as general interest in manufacturing and a wide range of industries would be an advantage but not crucial.

We offer a competitive remuneration package to include an annual bonus, as well as generous holiday terms. A successful candidate can achieve an annual salary of £60K+ in the long term once established in the role.
