Tradex Home Improvements Ltd are seeking a Graduate Trainee Designer in their Luxury Kitchen showroom in South East Kent.

This is a supportive role to the Senior Designers with the long term aim for supportive training to become a fully-fledged Designer. This position is paying £26,000 per annum with quarterly bonus scheme.

Trainee Designer duties:

  • Use of internal systems including CAD drawing systems (training will be provided)
  • Assist in drawing new plans/designs based on customer/client brief
  • Supporting the senior designers with ordering processes/liaising with our manufacturing colleagues in Germany and completion of technical drawings for customer/client projects
  • Supporting contractors and Senior Designers with site visits and surveys along with delivery of products to end users.
  • Lead taking, booking design appointments and presenting designs to clients/customers
  • Administration support for showroom lead marketing activities
  • Engaging with walk in customers and ensuring our customers receive the highest level of customer service
  • Answering the phone and dealing with daily enquires and customer/client enquiries throughout a project
  • Ensuring the showroom is maintained to a high level

Trainee Designer requirements:

  • Knowledge of design using CAD software is beneficial but not essential as training on our product design system (Winner) will be provided
  • Proactive with a desire to learn and develop in the role
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise work and manage multiple tasks
  • Good communication and presentation skills and IT literate
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Personable, friendly and confident with a can do attitude
  • Driving Licence
