This role is based in our new Soho Place office – opened in 2023 - in the heart of Central London and home to our Research Lab.

The role

We are recruiting for two roles within our People function:

  • HR Core: The successful candidate will work within our HR Core team
  • Campus, Marketing and Communications and Organisational Development: The successful candidate will rotate across three teams during their time with us

We have two positions available; one which rotates between Campus, Marketing and Communications and Organisational Development, and one based within HR core.

Campus (within Talent Acquisition)

We hire highly talented technical individuals to work on leading-edge systems. Our Talent Acquisition team are responsible for sourcing these people, using a wide range of methods including proactive headhunting and organising industry-leading events. During your time with the Campus team you will:

  • Use different sourcing tools to find niche talent in a variety of markets
  • Work with our Campus team to support university events, students and societies, and internship programmes
  • Ensure an exceptional candidate experience for all who interact with G-Research
  • Assist in running diversity focused programmes, such as STEMettes

Organisational Development

Our Organisational Development team is responsible for driving talent management and leadership development strategies, tools, and processes to meet our current and future business needs. In your time with Organisational Development, you will:

  • Be exposed to organisational development, performance management, succession planning and learning and development
  • Work closely with all members of the team, especially the Organisational Development Business Partners, supporting them in programme and project delivery, which will have a direct impact on the success of our teams
  • Build productive relationships with key internal stakeholders and third-party training providers
  • Organise executive coaching assignments where necessary for our management and leadership teams
  • Coordinate our annual Corporate Core Curriculum training to support our employees’ career progress
  • Help organise our Early Careers Programme to support the development of our future talent pipeline
  • Process adhoc training requests from the business, source relevant training or assist in designing bespoke sessions
  • Work to improve internal processes and how we communicate/promote the training we have
  • Manage the training calendar and inbox

Marketing and Communications

The G-Research Marketing and Communications team is responsible for attracting and engaging potential and current employees through creative content and compelling messaging. You will have the opportunity to work across an array of different marketing and communications disciplines, channels and activities, including assisting with major internal and external events, social media and website content curation. Some of the areas you will be working on will include:

  • Supporting with website content curation and posting, including blogs and job adverts
  • Drafting and delivering internal communications to our people across a range of channels
  • Supporting with social media curation, posting and monitoring
  • Sourcing and liaising with suppliers to deliver and replenish marketing materials and merchandise, including branded hoodies and office posters
  • Supporting both our internal and external events programmes, including on-the-day assistance
  • General day-to-day ad hoc duties, including managing requests from the business
  • Interview process

HR Core

The HR Core team is an umbrella term that covers the functions of our HR department, the core data captured about employees, and the software used to manage our core HR processes. There will also be an opportunity to support payroll processes and work closely with the Reward team. Within this team you will:

  • Be involved in the management of the employee lifecycle at G-Research
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HR and benefits queries, ensuring prompt, accurate, and professional responses
  • Take charge of designated HR projects, guiding them from inception to completion
  • Prepare HR documents, such as reference letters, ensuring they adhere to company standards and serve the needs of employees
  • Rigorously check and manage invoices, ensuring accuracy in billing and timely processing
  • Build effective relationships with third-party benefits providers, ensuring seamless benefits administration and issue resolution
  • Analyse common queries and issues, and identify opportunities to improve internal processes or employee communication strategies
  • Work closely with the broader HR team to align on best practices, share insights, and deliver a consistent employee experience

Successful applicants at the CV review stage will be invited submit a cover letter detailing which position they are interested in. There will then be subsequent interviews with the teams and managers.

Please note, interviews will begin in October and November. We are only able to progress with candidates enrolled on a sandwich degree with a graduation date in 2027.

Who are we looking for?

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a keen interest in Human Resources. They will have the following skills and experience:

  • Be studying a Sandwich Year degree in a transferable subject, such as Social Sciences, Business Studies, Organisational Psychology
  • Be highly organised, motivated and eager to learn
  • Have excellent grades at either A-levels or BTEC
