Every member of the firm has been welcoming and encouraging since day one. I am currently in my second seat and am sat in the Projects team of the firm. Ashurst's highly reputed Projects practice has been a great seat to experience thus far due to the variety of the different types of work you can get involved in. There is a broad range of industries and top tier clients we work with which allows me as a trainee to absorb and accrue knowledge from areas such as project finance, rail, construction energy etc. I did my first seat in Global Markets which was a great starting point for my training contract due to the excellent training the department offers across its different specialties. I was able to gain exposure to a plethora of different types of financing and financial products and gain a better understanding of how they work and enable our clients to achieve their intended outcome. My time at Ashurst thus far has been a great learning experience surrounded by some incredible people.
