Cumbria Chamber of Commerce is focussed on supporting businesses throughout the county, whatever their size or sector, to be successful and grow. We do this in a range of ways - through networking and events, business support, policy & representation and a range of member services. This includes a growing range of commercial training and consultancy as well as funded and subsidised business support services. Business support operates through our Cumbria Business Growth Hub brand, www.cumbriagrowthhub.co.uk.  We are a national prime provider to DWP and current projects include work supported by DWP, ERDF and local authorities. Our Made in Cumbria brand, which we are currently refreshing and bringing back to the market, is focussed on promoting and supporting local food & drink and artisan/craft producers. We recently led on producing the Local Skills Improvement Plan pilot for Cumbria, funded by the Department for Education.

We are owned by our business members. As a company limited by guarantee we are a social enterprise and so do not pay profits out to shareholders. That said, we are commercially and profit focussed - so that we can generate resources to invest in our aims.

We take an action orientated approach, rolling our sleeves up and getting things done.
