"There are four weeks of training in Newton skills when you first join."Graduate, All over the place
"There are a tremendous number of training opportunities at Newton. Although I didn't go through a formal induction when I first started, the senior support and guidance that I received during my first few months was exemplary. I was encouraged to attend the various relevant training courses that were available including, but not limited to, Mission Control (a productivity essentials course) and My Newton Story, a storytelling and presentation skills course. I also completed a one-week induction course four months into my role, which was a fantastic experience and provided me with a plethora of skills that I'm still developing to this day."Graduate, Kingston Bagpuize
"We had a one-month induction followed by one week of official training. We learned process control methodologies, the theory of constraints, considerable Excel and PowerPoint skills, basic VBA coding, client interaction and management, and presentation skills."Graduate, Glasgow, but varies from project to project
"There's an intense four-week training programme that includes a week on site to put your learnings into practice. There are a number of compulsory training courses throughout your career to enable you to continue developing along with a number of optional training courses too."Graduate, Nationwide - project work means we work on client sites across the UK.
"Training has been useful but can sometimes be hard to fit around project work."Graduate, Sheffield
"There's a thorough four-week induction to introduce the core techniques and softer skills. Many other training courses are regularly available."Graduate, Northampton
"We have a quick induction process but the company believes in experiential and investigative learning through courses."Graduate, UK Wide
"There are small courses of one or two days that you put yourself up for. I've learned a lot from some of these and they have changed my personal life as well as my work life. There are also the big, career-step-up defining weeks away with colleagues. These are a real highlight as they're a chance to get some head space in a relaxed setting, throw ideas around and push yourself to start doing something new. I look forward to them immensely."Entry level, Currently London, though it varies.
"There's a great programme of training that makes me feel fully skilled for the job."Graduate, Barrow in Furness
"We focus on core methodology which is taught very well and we are getting better; could look at doing more external training but as a need comes up you can request, plan it in and do it."Senior Consultant, Various UK locations
"The company offers the best four week induction programme in the market. It is designed to teach you everything from the technical aspects of the job to the necessary soft skills."Consultant, Leeds
"A lot of training is bespoke and so much more useful, applicable, and interesting than what you see/receive elsewhere."Senior Consultant, London
"There is a formal training programme running throughout your career, starting from delivery, communication and project planning, through to people management, project management, sales and beyond. We are able to choose additional modules if they become necessary or there is particular interest. Everyone has a development manager who is responsible for ensuring your personal development is going on-track. This is taken very seriously and allows you to develop skills very quickly."Senior Consultant, Birmingham
"Training is very good. Newton is one of the best out there in terms of a training programme, and options for professional qualifications exist. It can be slightly difficult to undertake training beyond the scheme until later in your career (year three or four+)."Senior Consultant, London
"The training programmes are undergoing a revamp, and the ones that have been through it are amazing. The four-week induction is great for giving the core skills, setting expectation and building an incredible bond in the induction group. Another training course involves a week away in a European city after ~18 months at Newton and is an incredible introduction to the management role you'll be moving towards at that point."Consultant, Plymouth
