Recruitment Process
Not only do we want to get to know the real you, but you also need to decide if we are the right for you! In order to do this, we have created an application process which will allow you to understand more about us and how we work as a business and for us to see if you are the right fit for our business.
If you are applying for our Industrial Placement, we have a 5-step application process detailed below.
Stage 1 – Online Application & IP Simulation
Complete an online application form before completing our interactive IP simulation, designed to give you insight into our organisation and the programme you’re applying for. This will prepare you for a series of situational judgement questions based on realistic business scenarios.
Stage 2 – Online Assessments.
Complete a numerical reasoning assessment, an online test that measures your ability to interpret and draw conclusions from numerical data and verbal Reasoning assessment an online test that measures your ability to understand and evaluate written information.
Stage 3 – Digital Interview
Complete a video interview.
*Please note, we do not use AI as a screening tool in our recruitment process therefore, your digital interview submission will be reviewed by a real person*
Stage 4 – Pre-Screening Interview
Attend a virtual pre-screening interview with a member of our recruitment team.
Stage 5 – In-Person Discovery Centre
Attend an in-person discovery centre alongside fellow candidates. This will give you the opportunity to visit a Unilever office, meet and interview with business leaders, and work on function-related business challenges.
If you are applying for our UFLP programme, we have a 4-step application process detailed below.
Step 1: Online Application
Complete the online application form and tell us about your motivation for choosing Unilever and your selected programme. It is a simple and easy process with the option of filling out your details using your LinkedIn profile. You may only apply to one function in your application.
Step 2: Profile Assessment
Complete two stages of profile assessment; a portrait personality test and an online assessment. These are designed to look at different elements of your cognitive, emotional, and social traits. You will receive personalised feedback after completing each stage.
Step 3: Digital Interview
The Digital Interview will consist of 3 short questions followed by a business case. You will be asked to solve real-world problems using Unilever Scenarios. You’ll be able to record and complete your interview anytime and anywhere.
Step 4: In-Person Discovery Centre
You will be invited to a ‘day in the life’ of a Future Leader at Unilever. You will get to experience a face-to-face day filled with several exciting activities including project meetings, business challenges, and a team meeting with Unilever Colleagues.
