About the Teams
The Client Coverage Division (CCD) is responsible for the global distribution of DWS' entire product range and for serving customers and distribution partners. Customers and distribution partners include credit institutions, investment companies, family offices, insurance companies, pension funds and investment funds, as well as public institutions and bodies (e.g. federal or state governments) and non-profit organizations such as churches and foundations.
EMEA COO Team
The EMEA Team drives the delivery of the EMEA Sales Strategy, providing the guidance, processes and infrastructure needed to deliver on the Sales Vision. The team sits in Frankfurt and coordinates locations all across Europe: France, Luxembourg, UK, MENA, Spain, Italy, Switzerland and Nordics. Our international nature is our strength, opening us to a wealth of business opportunities and cultural insights.

Client Experience, Marketing & Digital Sales Team
The Client Experience, Marketing & Digital Sales (CXMDS) team identifies as digital accelerator of our Client Coverage Division and is responsible for consistent digital touchpoints across all sales channels. The team always focuses on customer needs to boost digital sales activities by innovative product marketing and content distribution. The team ensures the operation of our strategic digital platforms and works on the tactical and strategic development of our digital ecosystem. We work closely with internal sales functions, marketing and event managers, product as well as technology departments and external vendors.?

Client Coverage Division Germany & Austria
The Client Coverage Division Germany & Austria (CCD GY&AT)) provides asset management solutions based on the individual risk, return and liquidity preferences of the client. In order to provide the best service for our clients, the division is structured along the following 3 core segments:
- Institutional Clients
- Wholesale Clients
- Alternatives Solutions
We offer all sort of investment products and tailor-made solutions for those clients stemming from the active, passive, alternative or solutions platform. We advise approx. 300 existing institutional clients as well as a large number of wholesale clients in the German and Austrian market. For servicing those clients in the most comprehensive way, we have a great working relationship with Wealth & Commercial Clients, Corporate Clients and Distributors.
As our DWS Intern, you will:
- Preparing material for pitches with prospects and current clients as well as creating product and strategy presentations (e.g. AuM, Revenues, Growth Forecasts)
- Supporting specific client group related projects (e.g. sensitivity analysis concerning product pricings)
- Supporting with RfPs (Request for Proposal) along the whole process
- Working closely with different departments and teams within DWS to obtain necessary information, updates and solutions to clients’ requests
- Participate in internal product trainings & updates
- Internal organisation of client meetings and participating in client conference calls and meetings
- Analysing the offering from our competitors and preparing gap analysis
Proficiency in German is required. You should also have a deep interest in interaction with clients as well as client service mentality with focus on individual solutions.
Xtrackers Sales Advisory & Strategy Team
The Xtrackers Sales Advisory & Strategy Team is located within the Xtrackers Sales area of DWS and is responsible for the strategic direction of the Xtrackers sales business globally, which includes Xtrackers ETFs/ETCs as well as Xtrackers Mandates. The team plays a central role and works closely with various stakeholders within DWS (e.g. Product Division, Investment Division and Communication & Marketing). Xtrackers is a growth area within DWS, and our goal is to continue to participate in the growth of the passive investment market in order to further increase our market share.
As our DWS Intern you will: ??
- Analysis of the global ETP/passive investment market, such as market positioning and competitor analyses?
- Support in the development of our state-of-the art flow analysis tool in order to develop future sales strategies and corresponding content?
- Support with implementation of our strategic sales projects (e.g. focus campaigns)?
- Creation of meaningful internal and external presentations?
- Coordination with various stakeholders, including our product and investment specialists as well as our communications and marketing department?
- Support sales activities for passive institutional mandates?
- Maintenance, expansion, and further development of our databases?
CCD Global COO Office

The Client Coverage Global COO office has responsibility for the global sales management, handles business development issues across all regions and organizes the division's workforce management. The main customer relationships and the strategic development of the Client Coverage Division are coordinated here.?
Exciting and challenging tasks await you. On a daily basis, we deal with diverse aspects of managing a global sales organization and align between various hierarchical levels of the organization, including top management. Our team focuses on the successful implementation of strategic initiatives through all levels of the Client Coverage Division globally.?
As our DWS Intern you will:?

- Analyze, prepare and evaluate relevant data and key figures for managing sales organization
- Work closely with all Divisions and sales regions of DWS, esp. Product, Investment and Finance
- Prepare recommendations for action, decision templates and further inputs for top management-level decision-makers and relevant committees
- Carry out analyses and special ad-hoc tasks on a wide range of topics, with a focus on transformation and change processes to further develop the Client Coverage Division
- Participate in projects on business-related topics in sales, esp. organization-wide initiatives

- A passionate and ambitious intern as well as a collaborative team member?
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail???
- Someone with a keen interest in financial services, prior experience relevant for the team you are applying for is a plus
- Impeccable communication, presentation and organizational skills and a structured approach (e.g. complex projects)?
- Attention to detail and accuracy as well as the willingness and ability to think outside the box?
- Excellent command of MS Office applications, in particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint?
- Ability to independently familiarize yourself with new and complex subject areas with a high level of commitment and motivation
- Advanced German and English language skills??
- You are enrolled in your penultimate or last year of study, or on a gap year in between your Bachelor and Master’s degree
- You need to be available for between 3-6 months. There are flexible intakes available - Spring, Summer and Autumn
