About the Internship
The DWS Internship is an opportunity to gain a wide range of practical experience. Individual projects, participation in speaker sessions and networking events will all be part of the internship. Whilst you can expect a high learning curve from our Internship, you will benefit from the support of your managers and mentors along with unparalleled exposure to the world of Asset Management. This internship is an ideal way to determine whether a career in Financial Services & Asset Management meets your personal aspirations.
Subject to performance, successful interns may be offered a place on the DWS Graduate P.A.C.E. program the following year.
About the Internal Audit Team
An independent and proactive risk-based audit function that provides objective assurance, advice and insight through effective communication to enhance and protect the value of DWS.
DWS Internal Audit has over 30 staff located in our four hub locations New York, London, Frankfurt, Hong-Kong and other countries and is responsible for delivering high quality audit reports covering all relevant activities of DWS in Europe, US, UK and Asia. DWS Internal Audit adds value by providing independent and objective assurance to the Management Board of DWS and its group companies ("Group”), on the adequacy of the design, effectiveness and efficiency of the risk management system and the systems of internal control. The hallmarks of our professional, business focused, proactive risk-based work are transparency, integrity and independence. Our global connectivity provides a stimulating environment and the opportunity to collaborate with knowledgeable colleagues and specialists around the world.
As our DWS Intern you will:
- Learn about the 3 LOD model
- Be introduced to the art of auditing
- Participate in different teams on different tasks
- Be involved in specific audit cycles
- Get a view on the expectations from regulations, standards and stakeholders
We’re looking for:
- Driven and committed interns
- A team player with a curious mind
- Someone with a keen interest in financial services but no experience is required
- Advanced German language skills
- Self-driven, eager to learn, well organized team player with excellent analytical skill
- You are enrolled in your penultimate or last year of study, or on a gap year in between your Bachelor and Master’s degree
- You need to be available for between 3-6 months. There are flexible intakes available - Spring, Summer and Autumn
