Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic Level 7 Apprentice to join our team specializing in finance for our planning, forecasting & reporting department in Darlington, UK. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!
Summary of the course:
The Planning, Forecasting & Reporting Level 7 Apprentice role is a developmental position within the Cummins Business Segment Accounting Services Team. During the apprenticeship you will work 5 days per week, inclusive of 1 day per week for study at Kaplan Financial. The working hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm (with adaptability to suit business needs). On completion of this apprenticeship, you will obtain a professional accountancy qualification.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Completing Month End Activities to assist with production of monthly financial statements.
- Building and maintaining relationships with external and internal customers, other finance disciplines and work teams
- Cost analysis and preparation of variance explanations through investigation and communication with the wider business
- Assist with the monthly forecasting process for Cummins Business Segment Europe
- Make accounting adjustments through appropriate journal entries.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects within the team.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Obtained Level 4 AAT
- Some experience in a relevant accounting role
- Proficient IT and MS Office skills are essential
- Excellent Communication skills and ability to work in a proactive manor.
