Programme

During this three-day paid programme you’ll get an insight into what a career at PwC could look like, you’ll meet mentors and buddies who’ll represent the variety of opportunities available across PwC.

You’ll meet some of our colleagues to hear about their own personal career journeys, as well as from some of our networks focussed on Inclusion and Diversity.

Through interactive sessions the programme will help you to develop confidence in a business setting and encourage you to bring your whole self to the workplace. At PwC, we nurture an environment where our people can be the best they can be.

Our Advancing Social Mobility programme will be a 3-day paid programme taking place 14-16 April 2025. You will need to be in the UK to complete this programme.

What you'll do

You’ll work in teams ranging from 2 to 30 people, often on projects that require national and international travel. When not on a project, you'll be based at your local office.

You’ll engage with clients both virtually and on-site, addressing project issues as they arise and gaining exposure to various industries. Your role may involve detailed analysis to support recommendations that transform client businesses.

Additionally, you'll have opportunities to work on strategic internal projects, gaining specialist knowledge within the PwC network.

Tailored training in consulting skills, digital tools, and technology will equip you to make a significant impact. During your role, you'll develop and demonstrate core skills learned in induction training, including:

  • Data Management : Collecting, analyzing, and presenting data.
  • Client Interaction : Facilitating workshops and presenting findings.
  • Project Support : Assisting with project management tasks.
  • Skill Development : Enhancing meeting facilitation, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Commercial Insight : Managing commercial aspects and engagement economics.
  • Proposal Assistance : Supporting proposal development.
  • Thought Leadership : Contributing to research and thought leadership.
  • Community Engagement : Participating in asset development and promoting inclusion and diversity within teams.

What you'll gain

By completing the programme, you'll have the opportunity to be considered for a subsequent Summer Internship 2026 role in the location and business area which you've done the programme. Many of our summer internship participants go on to receive graduate role offers.

What you'll need

To apply, you must:

  • Be in your first year of a three-year undergraduate degree or second year of a four-year undergraduate degree.
  • Be on track to pass an undergraduate degree in any subject.
  • Have attended a state school or college between the ages of 11 and 16.
  • Have a main household earner from a lower socio-economic background when you were 14, or have been eligible for free school meals.
