Associate Lead Generation Specialist
Location: Cambridge – Office Based (3 days per week)
The role
Are you looking to build your career in sales, or business development? Illumina is seeking a Associate Lead Generation Specialist to join our Funnel Operations Team. This role is ideal for early-career professionals who are detail-oriented, data-savvy (Excel) and eager to contribute to impactful marketing and sales initiatives.
You’ll play a key role in supporting lead qualification and outreach efforts, helping to expand our customer base and improve the performance of our marketing funnel. You’ll collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams across Europe, gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Review and qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns and the website.

Conduct research to identify new prospects and key decision-makers using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Monocl, and Scileads.

Support outbound prospecting efforts through email, LinkedIn, and phone outreach.

Assist in tracking and reporting lead performance and campaign outcomes using Excel and CRM tools.

Help improve lead handover processes and ensure smooth coordination between teams.

Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and customer data.

Share insights and contribute to continuous improvement of outreach strategies.

Qualifications

Some experience in marketing, sales, business development, or related roles.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Biology, or a related field.

Experience with CRM systems and Excel.

Interest in genomics, life sciences, or biotech is an advantage but not required.

French or Spanish language skills are a bonus.
