Avionics Workshop Technician
Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, with overtime available
About the Role
Skysmart Aviation Component Support is seeking an entry level Avionics Workshop Technician to join our growing component repair facility at Stansted Airport.
This role involves testing, diagnosing and repairing avionics and electronic aircraft components using Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and approved maintenance data. You will work within a Part-145 environment carrying out fault diagnosis down to piece-part level and ensuring components are returned to service safely and efficiently.
Full training on company procedures and specific unit types will be provided.
Key Responsibilities

Use Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and manual diagnostic equipment to test and fault-find avionics components.

Perform repairs, adjustments and component replacement in accordance with approved technical data and Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs).

Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records throughout the repair process.

Work closely with inspection and production teams to maintain high standards of quality and regulatory compliance.
Required Experience & Skills
-
Interest and basic experience in diagnostic testing, fault-finding and repair of electrical, electronic or electro-mechanical assemblies.

Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics and manufacturer documentation.

Previous experience in similar hobby fields is desirable.

High attention to detail and an appreciation of working within a safety-critical industry.
Desirable Skills

Familiarity with databases and software systems.

Wiring, crimping and soldering experience.
