Insight programme
In Economics Consulting, you'll advise high-profile clients in both the public and private sectors, offering economic insights to inform business decisions and shape organisations. Our work tackles complex business and policy issues, including navigating competition and commercial disputes, shaping efficient markets, providing macroeconomic forecasts, and delivering major investments.
What you'll do
As a Graduate Economist, you'll work across our five key propositions:
- Economic Insight and Market Edge
- Business Case Evaluation and Policy Appraisal
- Infrastructure Economics
- Behavioural Economics
- Competition Pricing and Digital Markets
You'll collaborate in project teams ranging from 2 to 15+ members, often alongside PwC colleagues from various Consulting divisions, Lines of Service, and international offices. You'll perform innovative economic analyses, engage with top executives, and learn to present your findings effectively. Additionally, you'll contribute to public thought leadership on diverse topics, such as the impact of increased female workforce participation or the future role of drones in the UK economy. Our work is frequently featured in national media.
Most projects will be based in London, primarily at our More London office, with occasional client site visits. There may also be opportunities for travel within the UK and internationally.
We will monitor your progress and provide guidance and support throughout your internship or graduate programme to prepare you for the next step in your career.
What you'll gain
By completing the programme, you'll have the opportunity to be considered for a subsequent Summer Internship 2026 role in the location and business area which you've done the programme. Many of our summer internship participants go on to receive graduate role offers.
What you'll need
You should be on track to complete an undergraduate degree in any subject, based on your most recent academic grades. Eligibility includes first-year undergraduates on a three-year degree course or second-year undergraduates on a four-year degree course.
Programme
During this three-day paid programme you’ll get an insight into what a career at PwC could look like, you’ll meet mentors and buddies who’ll represent the variety of opportunities available across PwC. You’ll meet some of our Black colleagues to hear about their own personal career journeys, as well as from some of our networks focussed on Inclusion and Diversity. Through interactive sessions the programme will help you to develop confidence in a business setting and encourage you to bring your whole self to the workplace. At PwC, we nurture an environment where our people can be the best they can be. Our Black Talent in Business programme will be a 3-day paid programme taking place 14-16 April 2025. You will need to be in the UK to complete this programme.
