Cambridge Graduate Course for Medicine Deputy Director (Part Time, Fixed Term)
Job Description
The postholder will support the Cambridge Graduate Course for Medicine (CGCM) Director in all aspects of the CGCM, including clinical placements at the West Suffolk Hospital. The deputy director will also have the opportunity to participate in wider aspects of the Cambridge medical course, including curriculum and assessment.
Location
The post is mainly based at the West Suffolk Hospital's Education Centre CGCM Office. The Deputy Director will work in close partnership with the CGCM Director, a team of eight CGCM Tutors, a General Practice CGCM Lead, and WSH Undergraduate Specialty Tutors. Secretarial and other administrative support is provided by the CGCM team at the West Suffolk Hospital Education Centre.
Funding and Employment
The role attracts 2PA of funding, to be paid through a secondment agreement between the University of Cambridge and the West Suffolk Hospital. The Candidate should be employed as a consultant doctor at West Suffolk Hospital. All candidates for the post should hold full GMC registration and a license to practice. This is a three-year post, with the possibility of renewal for further periods of three years thereafter, dependent on the availability of funding.
Reporting
The postholder will report to the Cambridge Graduate Course for Medicine (CGCM) Director.
