RSK Group is seeking talented and ambitious individuals to join our Civil & Structural Engineering Graduate Programme starting on 17th September 2025 for an 18-month fixed-term basis. Primary business locations will be Birmingham, Greater Manchester, Edinburgh and Bristol
How is the scheme structured?
During the 18-month programme, you will start with a comprehensive induction, learning about the culture at RSK and gaining an understanding of the businesses within the group.
Following the induction, you will be placed into an RSK business, spending your first nine months getting involved in a variety of work to support your career path. You will then move into a second rotation with another business for the remaining nine months. You will get to work alongside our broad range of professionals as well as learning from subject matter experts, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills and discover what you are passionate about.
During both placements, you will receive excellent training and networking opportunities, as well as having a buddy and assigned mentor to support with your career path.
Civils and structures
This programme offers graduates the opportunity to help deliver projects that RSK Group businesses are working on. The placements on this programme will offer a mix of site and office working. Graduates will be able to:
- Produce design calculations for building structures in all common materials
- Become proficient in the use of various analysis/design software packages
- Develop a working knowledge of the design standards and codes of practice relevant to different construction materials
- Shadow industry professionals to assess and inspect on site
- Write technical reports and present to clients
- Learn how to produce outputs and drawings to support outline and detailed design
- Understand health and safety requirements, including conducting risk assessments
RSK businesses may include: RoC Consulting, LDE, SCP Transport, Milner Associates, Acies, Travis Baker
Locations include: Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Bristol
Desirable degrees: Civil engineering, Structural engineering
Your Career development path
During your placements, you will attend training away days, developing your transferable skills including essential communication skills, building on your commercial awareness and taking part in career development workshops. Your placement will deliver on-the-job technical-based learning, and you will be guided by your line manager, along with your mentor and support from the early careers team. Throughout the placements, you will be expected to contribute to supporting the business and deliver high-impact results. You will be assessed on your performance and will receive regular feedback. By the end of the scheme, we expect that you will have a clear idea of where you would like to work and, subject to performance, we will support you in finding an internal opportunity within the RSK Group.

What we need from you
- Civil or Structural engineering degree
- Willingness to travel to different locations or to relocate (if necessary)
- Passion and enthusiasm with an eagerness to learn new skills
- A commitment to our nine guiding principles
- Ambition to work towards the sustainable development goals
- To be an advocate for RSK – Responsible, Sustainable, Knowledgeable
- Full UK driving license (desirable)
- Work experience would be advantageous

Salary and benefits:
