Your responsibilities

  • Join our team of engineers and project managers on an exciting 48–52-week placement, starting in September 2026, where you will actively contribute to the delivery of impactful projects.
  • Work alongside a team driving the development of new green assets for Uniper’s portfolio, ensuring security of supply and advancing the energy transition. This is a unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the commercial aspects of UK energy projects.
  • Develop practical expertise in project management methodologies while building critical skills in the commercial dynamics of major green infrastructure projects.
  • Gain exposure to government funding mechanisms, energy market operations, and the creation of innovative, sustainable energy solutions—offering an invaluable foundation for a career in the energy industry.

Your profile

Essential

  • Proficiency in standard Microsoft tools such as Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work with others in a fast-paced project development team.
  • Currently studying an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline for the energy industry, including but not limited to Business, Economics, Energy Management, Sustainability Studies, Engineering Management, etc.
  • A basic understanding of business and energy markets.
  • Ability to commute to or be located close to our base in Nottingham.

Desirable

  • Willingness to take initiative and seek opportunities, taking on challenges and proposing solutions.
  • Awareness of trends in the renewable energy sector, sustainability, and power generation infrastructure projects.
  • Willingness to travel to various sites and offices around the UK and Germany as required.
  • Understanding fundamentals of power generation and low carbon technology.
  • A Driving License.
