Communications Intern - Student Placement
Internship
About the role
We are looking for a keen and committed university undergraduate intern to support the incredibly varied work of our Communications Team.
This role is based at our One Angel Square offices in Northampton with opportunities for flexible working.
What will you be doing
One day might find you compiling news updates on the Council’s latest projects and activities. The next, you could be out and about filming our services for social media.
Supporting the wider team with regularly updating our communications channels and planning and monitoring activities are also key to the role, helping keep our activity on track as we promote the work of the Council within its local communities.
About you
We’re looking for someone with strong communication and writing skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, good attention to detail, and the capacity to learn quickly and apply new knowledge effectively.
No specialised communications knowledge is required, but experience in a PR, media, or digital marketing discipline and some political awareness would be helpful.
If this sounds like you, and you fit the criteria in the job description, we’d love to hear more, so please submit your application as outlined below.
