Your Opportunity
This is a 12-month graduate programme with a start date from September 2026, focusing on gaining first-hand experience in the team and discovering what your future would be like with us through induction, on-the-job learning, skills training, and networking.
Responsibilities:
- Support Risk Managers in covering all aspects of investment risk, performance, and other relevant metrics to ensure portfolios are managed in the client’s best interest
- Generate investment risk and performance attribution reports
- Develop Python and SQL-based analytical tools
- Summarize key investment risk results/findings
- Assist with processes to ensure that accurate risk analytics are available on a timely basis
- Foster and maintain relationships between the Investment Risk team and other teams within Janus Henderson
- Carry out other duties as assigned

Must-Have Skills
- You must have graduated from an Undergraduate or Master's degree in 2025 or be graduating in 2026 and be available to start full-time work from September 2026
- Robust Python skills are a must, including familiarity with libraries like Pandas, Numpy, SQLAlchemy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Dask, and SciPy
- Robust SQL skills
- Knowledge of investment risk analysis
- Strong interest in financial markets and asset classes
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- High degree of numeracy with a quantitative mindset
- Naturally curious and willing to ask questions
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Desire to work and succeed within a collaborative team
Nice to Have Skills
- Understanding of the asset management business
