Your Opportunity

This is a 12-month graduate programme with a start date from September 2026, focusing on gaining first-hand experience in the team and discovering what your future would be like with us through induction, on-the-job learning, skills training, and networking.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Risk Managers in covering all aspects of investment risk, performance, and other relevant metrics to ensure portfolios are managed in the client’s best interest
  • Generate investment risk and performance attribution reports
  • Develop Python and SQL-based analytical tools
  • Summarize key investment risk results/findings
  • Assist with processes to ensure that accurate risk analytics are available on a timely basis
  • Foster and maintain relationships between the Investment Risk team and other teams within Janus Henderson
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

Must-Have Skills

  • You must have graduated from an Undergraduate or Master's degree in 2025 or be graduating in 2026 and be available to start full-time work from September 2026
  • Robust Python skills are a must, including familiarity with libraries like Pandas, Numpy, SQLAlchemy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Dask, and SciPy
  • Robust SQL skills
  • Knowledge of investment risk analysis
  • Strong interest in financial markets and asset classes
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • High degree of numeracy with a quantitative mindset
  • Naturally curious and willing to ask questions
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Desire to work and succeed within a collaborative team
