Credit Controller

We are a Manufacturing Company of Barriers/Gates, Bollards, etc, we also do the installation and maintain/service our products. We are looking for a Credit Controller to join our team. The person needs to have the following skills:

• Negotiation & Communication: Excellent telephone manner and the ability to diplomatically handle difficult conversations.

• Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of accounting systems like Xero or Sage, alongside advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Analytical Thinking: High attention to detail and the ability to analyze ledger trends.

• Organization: Capability to manage a portfolio of accounts while meeting strict, target-driven deadlines.

Below is the job spec for this position:

• Ensure that debts are paid in a timely manner

• Allocation of receipts and match off on daily basis

• Chase overdue invoices daily by email/telephone

• Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity

• Taking payments over telephone, allocation and advising relevant departments

• Raising Invoices and Applications – Subcontracts

• Raising Proformas

• Raising Commercial Invoices for Export

• Identify any payment changes patterns, and bring to the attention of the supervisor

• Respond promptly and completely to clients and internal enquires

• Dispute Resolutions- Leaise between Customers and Internal to resolve queries in a timely manner, Escalation - if no resolve in timely manner-then flag up.

• Provide ad hoc reporting when requested

• Send out monthly statements

• Provide cover for other accounting functions as requested

• Any other duties given from time to time by Finance Manager
