The Curtiss-Wright Sensors team is seeking a Graduate Design Engineer to join our team based in Christchurch, UK. In this role, you'll be focused on designing products and completing project work for flight-critical sensors and controls for both commercial and military aircraft. Your Challenge
- 3D design using SolidWorks
- Generation of manufacturing drawings
- Tooling and fixture design to support production and qualification testing
- Changes to engineering drawings via the ECO system in PDM
- Provide analysis using FEA, tolerance stack-ups, and hand calculations
- Creation of reports, presentations, and test documentation
Your Expertise
- Degree educated with a minimum of a 2:1 in mechanical or aerospace engineering
- Experience of FEA (thermal, CFD, structural, magnetic)
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as turning & milling
- Some basic knowledge of electronics
- Understanding of solenoids and transformers
- Competent using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
