Leeds Beckett University is an exciting, modern university in one of the most vibrant student cities in the UK. Within the University there is a large, centralised IT department responsible for the provision and support of a wide array of technologies and services across two beautiful campuses with excellent facilities.
Responsibilities
Integral to the success of this is our Service Desk. This customer-facing team is the single point of contact for staff IT help and support and is the ‘front door’ to Digital Services, providing first-line support for the University’s IT and Audio-Visual systems.
The student placement role is highly varied, and you can expect to work with a wide range of devices including Windows and Apple devices, mobile devices, Raspberry PI’s, electronics and audio and video equipment.
The post holders will be responsible for the first and second-line support of a range of IT and AV technologies from end-user devices to lecture theatre support, offering face-to-face, telephone, and remote support with a focus on customer service and timely resolutions.
We are looking for driven individuals with a passion for technology who can demonstrate a range of good communication, customer service, and organisational skills. The ability to prioritise work and tasks and demonstrate attention to detail is integral to this role.
