Editorial Assistant
France Today, Bonjour Paris, Taste of France and FrenchEntrée | Bath | Hybrid | Entry-level
A rare entry-level publishing role in Bath, working across four brands that celebrate the best of France: France Today, Bonjour Paris, Taste of France and FrenchEntrée.
This is a genuine chance to start a career in magazine and digital publishing, without needing to move to London. You'll get real editorial responsibility from day one: planning content, writing and editing, building newsletters, and seeing your work published across titles read by Francophiles, food lovers and property buyers around the world.
Ideal for someone early in their publishing career who loves magazines, digital content, travel, food, culture, and all things France.
You'll report to Eli Sheridan, our Digital Content Lead, who will support you day-to-day and help you grow into the role.
A prestigious perk of the role: you'll also get the opportunity to write for our print titles, France Today and Taste of France Magazine, seeing your byline in print as well as online.
You may also get the chance to join press trips to France, from food and wine tours to property showcases, seeing the destinations you write about firsthand.

Support contributor management by coordinating briefs, deadlines, feedback, rewrites, sign-off and related administration
-
Sub-edit, proofread and fact-check content to ensure accuracy, readability, house style, brand voice and copyright compliance

Maintain digital editorial calendars and support content planning across evergreen, seasonal, print-to-digital, reactive and commercial content
-
Coordinate with Editors, the Digital Content Lead, print teams, sales colleagues, contributors and partners to keep content workflows on track
-
Plan, build and send assigned newsletters, including story selection, subject lines, copy, calls-to-action and membership promotion
-
Monitor newsletter and content performance, using analytics and platform insights to inform future planning
-
Write, update and optimise digital content across brands, including news, features, guides, and advertorials
-
Contribute occasional bylined pieces to our print titles, France Today and Taste of France Magazine, subject to editorial commissioning
