Emerging Technology Graduate Programme - Livingston
About this programme
Build the future with breakthrough technology.
At Sky, we're not just keeping up with technology; we're shaping it. From AI and data to automation and digital products, the Emerging Technology Graduate Programme helps you develop skills in the technologies shaping the future.
The programme combines an immersive bootcamp with two years of rotational experience, giving you the opportunity to build strong foundations before developing your skills across a range of technology teams and projects.
Over two years, you'll rotate through teams working on cutting-edge projects that power millions of customer experiences. Whether it's building software, experimenting with Generative AI, or delivering solutions within agile frameworks, you'll gain hands-on experience with the tools and technologies transforming the industry.
You don't need to choose a specialism immediately. This programme is designed to help you explore, grow and find your path, whether that's in software development, networks, broadcast technology, cyber security, artificial intelligence or technology delivery.
We're looking for curious, motivated people who want to build a career in technology. You don't need a technical background to apply. What matters most is a genuine interest in technology and the impact it can have on customers.
Over two years, we'll help you become a well-rounded technology professional, giving you insight into how our teams create and deliver great customer experiences across Sky's products and services.
As you gain experience across different technology teams, you'll discover where your strengths and interests lie and have the opportunity to specialise in the areas that excite you most.
What you'll be doing
Technology never stands still, and neither do we.
From exploring new ideas to delivering solutions used by millions of customers, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects from concept through to launch.
If you enjoy learning, adapting to change and solving problems, you'll thrive at Sky.
Throughout the programme, you'll rotate across a range of teams and develop a blend of technical, analytical and delivery skills while gaining exposure to Sky's wider technology landscape.
You could:
-
Build digital products using technologies such as AI, cloud platforms and modern software development tools.
-
Learn about cyber security, threat modelling and how we protect customers, systems and data from emerging risks.
-
Explore network technologies across physical, virtual and broadcast environments.
-
Help shape the future of new technology solutions as a Product Owner or Technical Product Owner.
-
Use machine learning, large language models (LLMs) and Generative AI to solve real-world business and customer challenges.
From day one, you'll work on real projects with real impact, supported by experienced mentors and surrounded by people who are passionate about technology.
By the end of the programme, you'll have the confidence, experience and specialist skills needed to take the next step in your career at Sky.
