About The Post

This post is ringfenced for Westminster graduates only.

This post is full time and fixed-term for two years, working 35 hours per week.

We are looking for a Westminster Graduate to join us as the Employability Projects Graduate Intern on a 2 year fixed-term. The successful candidate will get to work on two projects: the Early Careers Support Project (ECSP) and the Westminster Award (WA), both of which support students and graduates in becoming career-ready through a range of pathways, events, and other activities through Zone29 the home of careers and enterprise.

The post holder will aid the planning and promotion of both areas under the close direction of the team, including: supporting events, both online and in-person events, maintaining and updating websites, aiding in the promotion of events via campaign and other forms of media, performing daily administrative tasks, participating in team meetings, and, from time to time, minuting.

We are seeking a postholder who can relate and or have an appreciation to the barriers and challenges faced by current students and recent graduates regarding securing employment and developing skills. We are seeking for someone who can contribute to advancing new ideas that increase participation and engagement. The postholder should be able to manage multiple priorities, be willing to learn and develop confidence in talking to students about how we can help students through Zone29. And it would be desirable that the postholder has some understanding of the services and programmes available to students and graduates through Zone29.

Both projects contribute to the 'Being Westminster' strategy by creating inclusive spaces for students to bring their authentic selves to our services and to provide students and graduates with the tools and knowledge to become more employable, both through extracurricular and co-curricular events and activities.

We encourage applications from former students of the University of Westminster as this position is open exclusively to recent UoW graduates.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday and with some event support requiring later out-of-hours work. We offer hybrid working arrangements and arrangements will be agreed with the line manager on a rolling basis.
