The Role

P2G Contract Support LLP is searching for a curious and analytical minded Associate to join our Asset and Facilities Management (AFM) Advisory team who support building owners/occupiers to define, design, procure, mobilise, deliver and de-mobilise the FM services required to enable the delivery of their core services.

As a dedicated team within P2G, the AFM team support end users / property owners within the public, private and third sectors, providing a variety of commissions and advisory support.

Much of the AFM team’s work is supporting the wider P2G practice in delivering strategic advice to our public sector clients primarily within the PFI / PPP contract sub-sector. However, we also regularly work on non-PFI / PPP projects, maintaining our focus on supporting property owners and occupiers within the public, private and third sectors.

Our AFM Consultancy service offering includes the following service streams:

  • Asset and FM Strategic planning and development

  • Contract management and operational support

  • PFI / PPP expiry & handback services

  • FM reorganisation

  • FM procurement and outsourcing

  • Services specification scoping and performance monitoring system development

  • FM insourcing support

  • Performance monitoring and service audits

  • Benchmarking and market testing

  • FM design review

  • Lifecycle advisory

In this role, you will be an instrumental part of our team; a team of likeminded problem solvers working across the PFI / PPP and outsourced FM markets to:

  • deep dive into complex commercial and service delivery issues, investigate root causes, and shape strategic solutions.

  • help define the next generation of FM service delivery across public and private sectors.

  • support the public sector to achieve value for money through sustainable contracts.

  • help embed best-practice contract management across UK and international PPP / PFI and outsourced FM contracts.

  • support the smooth expiry transitions of existing PPP / PFI projects, ensuring seamless service continuity; and

  • contribute to the development of the next generation of PPP models shaping the UK’s future infrastructure.

Your work will span everything from analysing detailed financial and technical information to reviewing contracts and helping design and implement future FM service strategies.

Whilst your primary focus shall be AFM Advisory, you shall also support other service offerings as the need arises.

Core skills

We are looking for an individual with:

  • An interest in ensuring that health, education and other public services are well delivered and provide value for money.

  • Good numeracy and literacy skills, with a competent understanding of I.T. software, predominantly MS programmes (Excel, Word etc.) or equivalent.

  • The ability to work independently and proactively to solve problems, communicate issues and resolve conflict.

  • The role will also provide the training to develop competency across core skills including Communication, Problem Solving and Decision Making, Leadership, Analytical ability, and Sector Knowledge (PPP/PFI, FM, etc.).

Salary and benefits

Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 per annum + pension.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent (open to adaptable arrangements)

Location: Nationwide (remote based working)
