Fast Recovery Support Worker
Job Summary
To work as part of elite support workers with adults in accommodation-based support services with mental health problems, learning disabilities and complex needs.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
-
To contribute to the establishing of quality standard and lead on implementing them.
-
To act as a role model for other staff, demonstrating best practice at all times.
-
To offer specialist, recovery focused and person-centred support to service users to develop and/or improve their life skills, as much as their needs allow so that they can lead as independent and active lives as possible within the community.
-
To recognise any changes in physical/mental health/behaviour which may have a negative effect on them and develop strategies with service users to respond.
-
To work closely with and support managers in disseminating and implementing agreed best practice guidelines in all areas.
-
To work alongside an improvement plan for each project, as required.
-
To develop and deliver project communal and individual activities plan with service users and implement.
-
To monitor progress of service users’ objectives and implement appropriate changes as needed.
-
To lead on follow up from inspections.
-
To ensure safeguarding protocols are followed.
-
To comply with Health and Safety, policies and legislation.
-
To work adaptably across services as required.
-
To ensure familiarity with and use of JUST quality management systems
-
To carry out all duties and responsibilities in accordance with JUSTs policies and procedures and legislation.

Floating Advanced Support Team Worker (FAST)
Qualifications and experience
-
Significant, successful experience of working within a community setting with adults who have complex needs.
-
Involvement in setting up quality standards and implementing them.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
-
Understanding of how complex needs may affect day to day functioning.
-
Good IT, written and verbal skills
-
Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures and legislation
-
Commitment to and understanding of equality of opportunity and the ongoing management of diversity and inclusion.
-
Good knowledge of Health & Safety, policies and legislation.
-
Ability to work adaptable at different sites as needed.

Salary: £32,000 per annum
Eligibility to work
Under the Asylum and Immigration Act 1999, JUST has a responsibility to ensure that all employees are eligible to work in the UK from the start date.

25 days per annum plus Bank Holidays

After completion of probationary period
Pension
You will be automatically enrolled in the JUST pension scheme which is administered by NEST. Contributions will be deducted from your salary based on 5% of your basic salary with an employer contribution of 3%.
Hours
The normal working week is 35 hours per week.
Location
Staff are deployed flexibly across any JUST service as needed.
Probation
The first 6 months of your employment will serve as a probationary period. During this period your performance and conduct will be monitored. Upon satisfactory completion of your probationary period, your appointment will be confirmed.
Expenses
Staff will be reimbursed with amounts incurred in the performance of their duties, within agreed budget and sanctioned by their line manager
