We're Kingfisher, a team made up of over 74,000 passionate people who bring Kingfisher - and all our other brands: B&Q, Screwfix, Brico Depot, Castorama, and Koctas to life. Guided by our purpose 'Better Homes. Better Lives. For Everyone.' We believe a better world starts with better homes, and we work every day to make that a reality. Join us and help shape the future of home improvement.
Join Kingfisher’s three-year Finance Graduate Scheme — an excellent opportunity to kickstart your finance career while working towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA or CIMA). The scheme includes three 12-month rotations across different areas of the business, giving you a broad and well-rounded understanding of how we operate.
Throughout the programme, you will experience much more than finance. You will spend time in our retail stores, learn how we support customers and communities, and collaborate with colleagues at all levels. You will contribute ideas, learn from others, and help shape how we work. We’d love this scheme to help build our future leaders within Finance at Kingfisher.
This role is based in our London Paddington office and has a starting salary of £34,000, plus benefits.
What's the job?
As part of Kingfisher’s Group Finance team, you’ll complete three rotations, gaining hands-on experience and building core skills:
- Year 1: Develop a strong foundation in accounting and financial controls through involvement in internal and external reporting processes.
- Year 2: Broaden your knowledge by supporting teams that challenge the robustness of financial data and outputs used by the business and external stakeholders.
- Year 3: Enhance your analytical and commercial skills by explaining performance against targets and external expectations. You may work on financial modelling and investment business case reviews.
What You'll Bring
- A degree (or equivalent) in a finance-related field* (Please note we cannot consider candidates with a Masters' degree in accounting or finance or with more than 2 years finance experience)
- A strong desire to become a qualified accountant
- Proficiency in Excel, general IT literacy, and Digital tools
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver results
- Collaborative mindset with self-motivation
How We Work
We believe in flexibility and balance. Our hybrid model blends home working for focus with time spent connecting and collaborating - whether in our offices or at offsite locations. On average, around 60% of your time will involve in-person collaboration.
We value the perspectives new team members bring and encourage you to apply - even if you don’t meet 100% of the requirements.
What We Offer
An inclusive environment where your potential is limited only by your imagination. We encourage new ideas, support experimentation, and strive to create a workplace where everyone can be their best self.
We also offer a competitive benefits package and plenty of opportunities to stretch and grow your career.
Diversity & Inclusion
Our customers come from all walks of life - and so do we. We’re committed to ensuring all colleagues, future colleagues, and applicants are treated equally, regardless of age, gender, marital or civil partnership status, ethnicity, culture, religion, belief, political opinion, disability, gender identity, gender expression, or sexual orientation.
Before you apply, we want to make sure you’ve had the chance to properly get to know Kingfisher! We know that choosing the right graduate programme is a big decision, and the best way to decide if this is the right fit for you is to hear directly from the people already working here.
Once you are ready, you must collect your Connectr Code by completing the pre-applications tasks on the platform. These are designed to help you self-assess whether a Finance Graduate role is right for you. You will need the Connectr code to make your application.
